Overview The Procurement Manager - Renewable will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for all materials, supplies, and services required for our construction projects. This role involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with budgetary and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction procurement, exceptional negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and project requirements.

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors for construction materials and services, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and delivery schedules.

Monitor and manage supplier performance, resolving any issues that may arise.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines.

Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.

Analyze market trends and conditions to forecast purchasing needs and budget requirements.

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Provide training and support to team members on procurement processes and best practices.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus

Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the energy storage, renewable energy, or power industry

Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors.

Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to assess supplier performance and market trends.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing contracts and procurement documents to avoid errors and ensure compliance.

Project Management: Capability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills to foster long-term partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders.
