NatureWorks is a cutting-edge landscape company that maintains and enhances residential estates in Metro-West Boston. We are seeking a New Business Developer to join our team. POSITION SUMMARY
The New Business Developer for residential landscape maintenance, construction, and tree care services is responsible for prospecting and securing new business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Nurture and close new business that matches our desired clientele. Develop new relationships with individuals and businesses that drive target leads Demonstrate consistent prospecting behaviors Assist with marketing efforts, as needed Build and manage sales funnel with qualified prospects and actively move them through the sales process. Prepare estimates for a variety of services using NatureWorks proposal generating tools and platform, following NatureWorks sales protocols. Secure contracts and set them up in our system for Operations to begin servicing the accounts successfully. Work with Territory Manager to assign an Account Manager for ongoing relationship management. Transfer all necessary information on client and services to ensure successful onboarding and retention. Create new and nurture existing industry relationships to help us grow our business. Achieve targeted close ratios and sales goals. Attend and contribute to appropriate internal meetings and training activities. Build personal knowledge in areas needed to improve skill set – horticulture, estimating, consultative sales skills, service skills, communication, time management, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
Sales & estimating experience in the landscape industry. Strong knowledge of horticulture and landscape maintenance, tree care, and construction practices. Knowledge of snow services a plus. Ability to offer clients compelling ideas for improving their landscapes and solving problems. Customer-service oriented with strong communication and people skills. Strong self-starter with a keen desire to succeed. Highly motivated individual with a professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility for other employees. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
4+ years field experience working with customers in a landscape field. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. A degree in a related field such as Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Environmental Science, or Business preferred. MCLP and MCH certifications are a plus. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to perform the job's essential physical functions with or without reasonable accommodation. These include: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to drive to other offices or locations when needed. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Schedule: This position requires flexibility in schedule. Location: The position will split time between our branches (Walpole and a site TBD), and the Wellesley studio. Remote Capabilities: After 90 days, this position can plan to work remotely for 1 day per week provided it does not conflict with 'in person' events Base pay range:
$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Additional compensation types:
