Resident Experience Manager - 8 1/2 Canal Street at American Campus Communities. Location: 8 1/2 Canal Street - Richmond, VA. Department: Property Admin. This is the senior-most role on property, overseeing leasing, marketing, and administrative operations to create an exceptional living environment for residents. Supervise the office team and community assistants, providing leadership to deliver an exceptional resident experience from prospective resident through lease renewal, overseeing all leasing, marketing, and administrative operations. Recruit, hire, train, and develop direct reports to achieve leasing and marketing objectives and maintain a positive workplace. Conduct performance evaluations and performance discussions with team members. Collaborate with supervisor and Human Resources on compensation adjustments for direct reports. Deliver an exceptional resident experience by ensuring all leasing, marketing and administrative efforts meet company standards; serve as lease executor if applicable. Direct the team’s marketing efforts, manage events and programs, and ensure the website is regularly audited for accuracy and visual standards. Manage processes for collecting resident feedback and survey results, and create action plans for improvement. Oversee property administrative needs including scheduling, payroll, deposits/invoices, package management, incident reports, postings, and contracts. Partner with the Service Manager to ensure the property is well-maintained and maintains curb appeal. Own property financials in collaboration with the Service Manager, including purchasing and budget performance. Maintain ongoing communication with university partners. Represent ACC as property leader at resident functions and marketing events. Oversee resident communications, events, notices, rent collection, and eviction processes in partnership with centralized services as needed. Resolve resident conflicts and disputes effectively. Maintain key control oversight, including key box access. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2 years’ leadership experience in student or multi-family housing, or similar industry Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field preferred Skills in leasing and marketing, customer service, facility management, budgeting, supervision, business administration, public relations, residence life, and a combination of business and student development skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Demonstrated leadership skills Benefits & Perks
