Overview
Cook Senior role at Mass General Brigham. This position reports to the team and involves preparing, seasoning, and cooking a wide variety of simple pastries/breads, sandwiches, salads, fruits, and other food items in accordance with prescribed recipes using a full range of cooking methods. Location: 800 Huntington Avenue. Onsite. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Pay range: $18.22 - $26.06 hourly. Employee type: Regular. Work shift: Day (United States of America). Responsibilities
Serve as team lead and assist with food preparation and cooking. Test foods for quality and ensure adherence to recipes and production schedules. Receive ingredients and supplies from pantry and assemble equipment needed for daily cooking activities. Review production schedules to determine food requirements and quantities. Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required Experience
2 years of experience working as a cook required, 1-2 years for Cook I as applicable Licenses and Credentials

Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards Organizing and coordinating skills Ability to accept receipt of goods and supplies Record inventory and/or order stock Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control Problem-solving regarding equipment and food supplies; identify spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and other issues Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment Complete production sheets and other records as required Prepare special diets according to prescribed standards Physical Requirements
