This is a hybrid role based out of New Brunswick, NJ. Purpose : The Director, Executive Communications for Johnson & Johnson’s Global Legal Organization is a leadership position responsible for crafting and driving the organization’s overall communication strategy. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Executive Communications-GCA & GLO, the Director serves as a strategic advisor to the Chief Legal Officer and GLO’s Leadership Team, guiding the development of high-impact communication initiatives that advance the strategic framework, reputation, and employee engagement. Responsibilities : Strategic Communications Leadership: Develop, implement, and lead all aspects of the GLO’s comprehensive communication strategy in alignment with business objectives and Johnson & Johnson’s values. Executive Partnership: Serve as principal communications advisor to the Chief Legal Officer, collaborating closely with the GLO leadership team to craft executive messaging, thought leadership, and high-visibility organizational announcements. Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with key internal and external collaborators, including senior executives, business partners, and agency collaborators. Guide communications that support employee engagement, cultural initiatives, and change management efforts. Content Oversight: Advise the planning, creation, and dissemination of executive communications, presentations, reports, and digital campaigns, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice and corporate guidelines. Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to evaluate the efficiency of communication initiatives, using analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Industry Leadership: Monitor trends and standard processes in executive and legal communications, proactively recommending strategies to position the Global Legal Organization as a sector leader. Qualifications / Requirements : Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Law, or a related field strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in executive or corporate communications, with a proven track record of strategic leadership in a complex, global organization. Proven experience partnering with C-suite executives and senior leadership teams. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences. Expertise in strategic planning, engagement, and crisis communications. Strong leadership and team development capabilities, with a dedication to fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture.
