Title: Infrastructure Engineer – (Subcontract at an NRI)

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Infrastructure Engineer

to lead the design, implementation, and support of their enterprise IT infrastructure. This role emphasizes systems administration, storage, virtualization technologies, and modern backup strategies. The ideal candidate will be technical with deep expertise in managing complex environments and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer Windows Server environments and core services including Active Directory, Azure, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

Manage and monitor enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS), ensuring performance, availability, and capacity planning.

Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik), ensuring data protection and compliance.

Assist in patch management, system upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle planning.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to support infrastructure needs for applications and services.

Document system configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.

Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning.

Provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure-related issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.

Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server environments.

Proven experience managing enterprise-grade storage platforms (e.g., Dell EMC, Pure, HPE).

Advanced proficiency in VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.

Strong understanding of backup and recovery solutions and methodologies.

Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell ).

Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, VMware VCP, Veeam VMCE) strongly .
