BRICK EXECUTIVE SEARCH has been exclusively retained to search for a key member of the footwear team for a brand experiencing growth in retail and wholesale. We are seeking a PRODUCT person who knows SHOES like the back of their hand. Not just "any" shoes — edgy, trend, sexy, embellished shoes. The ideal candidate will have a proven product development track record in the footwear industry. As a member of the Product Development team, you will participate in developing and executing product to align with the brand's vision and the overarching business strategy of a rapidly-growing brand. This person is responsible for project management of the footwear program. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end development process and work with cross-functional teams from concept through commercialization to deliver products that exceed consumer expectations. The product developer will be responsible for the development, costing and allocation of products. Other critical responsibilities include fit and wear testing, understanding manufacturing capabilities, anticipating issues, problem solving, and timely resolution. The candidate will work closely with Design, Sourcing, Planning and Merchandising teams to create beautiful and innovative product. Responsibilities

Manage the product development process and calendar from concept to commercialization. Develop and recommend options to meet pricing targets, as well as assure product performance integrity through product testing. Create and maintain BOM and development requirements in PLM system. Collaborate with Product Integrity to ensure testing standards are met for buy-ready status. Manage the technical execution of footwear design including lasts, molds, and materials. Ensure development guidelines are followed for all styles and vendors. Execute development of product according to the seasonal critical dates that lead to on-time delivery of samples and buy readiness. Communicate all technical specs for molds including 2D and 3D approvals. Conduct fit and wear testing for each new style. Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in footwear development BS degree or related field experience Ability to work independently and directly with overseas vendors Solid understanding of footwear construction methods, materials, testing & evaluation techniques Proven ability to lead and influence in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional group Demonstrated ability to project manage complex projects with cross-functional teams Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an advanced ability to communicate new ideas and concepts Ability to cost negotiate and understanding of cost drivers, margin and landing factors Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks PLM experience required Seniority level
