Overview

Must be located in Maryland Position Summary: The BCBA plays a critical role in providing clinical oversight and guidance in the delivery of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services. The BCBA is responsible for conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, supervising implementation of ABA treatment, and monitoring client progress. The BCBA collaborates with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure effective treatment outcomes. Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments to identify underlying factors contributing to challenging behaviors and/or skill deficits; analyze assessment data to develop an understanding of the client’s needs, strengths, and intervention areas; use evidence-based assessment tools and methods to inform treatment planning and guide decision-making. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, including evidence-based interventions and clearly outlined behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals; collaborate with the treatment team to ensure proper implementation of strategies; provide training and supervision to ensure fidelity of treatment implementation and adherence to best practices. Ongoing Monitoring and Analysis: Regularly collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven decisions to modify treatment plans; monitor client progress, track behavior change, and adjust interventions to optimize outcomes; conduct periodic re-assessments to assess progress, update goals, and adjust strategies based on new information. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the client’s care to ensure a coordinated approach; provide guidance to families in implementing antecedent and consequence strategies at home and in natural settings; maintain open communication with all stakeholders with regular progress updates and discussion of treatment plans. Supervision and Training: Provide supervision and training to behavior technicians and other staff; conduct regular meetings and trainings to ensure proper understanding and implementation of ABA principles, strategies, and ethical guidelines; foster a positive learning environment for staff and support their professional development. Professional Development and Ethical Conduct: Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in ABA; adhere to BACB ethical guidelines and standards; participate in ongoing professional development activities such as conferences, workshops, and continuing education. Pay

$15/hour for drive time Qualifications

Must hold a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and be licensed in the state of Maryland Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field Strong knowledge of behavior analytic principles, methodologies, and interventions Experience conducting comprehensive functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition goals Ability to administer and interpret various skills-based assessments (e.g., VBMAPP, PEAK, AFLS, ABLLS-R) Excellent data collection and analysis skills Experience with online data collection programs Ability to supervise, train, and support staff Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and professionals Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines in ABA Must submit to federal and state background checks Physical ability to sit on the floor, kneel, crawl, squat, run, or stand for extended periods; lift up to 35 lbs; travel up to 45 minutes Current first aid and CPR certifications or willingness to obtain Benefits
