The Parikh Laboratory seeks a

Sr. Research Specialist

to work collaboratively to advance and validate a novel platform for anterior segment screening and referral. Applicants should have experience with research, technology development, and evaluation of new technologies. Candidates must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, have experience working independently, and can work on multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced, collaborative academic environment. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Lead prototyping and development of hardware and software technologies, including imaging hardware, software programs, and artificial intelligence. Guide and train students and contractors in development and testing of technologies Help develop and manage collaborations and partnerships with key stakeholders and research partners. Collect eye images and clinical data from patients. Collect and analyze research data. Generate and summarize data into reports to share with PI, collaborators, and funders. Contribute to preparation of IRB applications, grant proposals, and manuscripts. Prepare necessary documents/protocols for research projects. Conduct usability validation studies of anterior segment imaging devices and/or software screening technologies. Visit partner sites to train project personnel and initiate new collaborative studies.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field. Four year's experience in a comparable laboratory performing relevant techniques. Master's degree, with related graduate research, may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications Graduate Degree in Biomedical Engineering, experience in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, and experience with new technology development and evaluation.
