Position Details

The Division of Experimental Pathology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant Professor. Applicants must hold a PhD, MD, or DO degree. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent research program in the field of cell, molecular, biochemical, or developmental biology with relevance to human disease. This research program should integrate with existing programs in cell migration, morphogenesis, extracellular matrix, protein biochemistry, biomolecular condensates, and cytoskeletal/motor protein dynamics. The Division of Experimental Pathology is located on the Busch Campus of Rutgers University within a core of basic science research laboratories and facilities, leading to opportunities for high-level team science. The department is home to cutting-edge expertise and equipment, including super-resolution STORM microscopy, TIRF microscopy, fluorometry, single-molecule imaging capabilities, and a newly acquired LUMICKS C-Trap (the only one in the state of NJ). Further, the department is adjacent to advanced core facilities, providing easy access to the Waksman Imaging Center, Mass Spectrometry Facilities, Genome Editing Core, and Organoid Development Resources, among many others.
