Assistant Professor - Sport Leadership in Administration

at Inside Higher Ed, with tenure-track appointment in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Massachusetts Boston. The position is to begin September 1, 2026. Candidates with scholarly expertise in equity in sport whose teaching, research, and service advance the college mission and the university strategic plan are of particular interest. Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate courses in the Sport Leadership and Administration Program. Conducting research relevant to the field of sport leadership and administration. Contributing service to university, college, departmental, and program committees, professional associations, and to local, national, and/or international communities. The college recognizes that scholarly work often integrates teaching, research, and service. Qualifications

Required: Ph.D. or Ed.D. from a Sport Management, Educational Leadership, Sport Studies, Sport Psychology, Sport Sociology, or related field. Preferred: scholarship that incorporates critical theoretical lenses to advance equity and social justice in sport; experience with culturally sustaining and inclusive teaching and learning; involvement in collaborative, interdisciplinary, and community-engaged scholarship; record or promise of research productivity.
