Overview
We are looking for dynamic high school teachers who are passionate about building relationships with students, who develop highly engaging lessons, and inspire students to reach their maximum potential. The school will employ standards based and research proven curriculum, implement best educational practices, use a variety of assessments to measure ongoing student progress in skills and content learning, and support teachers with professional development activities that are aligned to the instructional program. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred Valid NYS teacher certification (7-12) required Mastery of content knowledge in assigned area(s) of instruction; mastery of assigned subject; knowledge of current practices Duties & Responsibilities
Implement a coherent, research-based curriculum in consultation with Administration and Directors Teach students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in an inclusion setting and implement IEPs as necessary Document syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, rubrics and other instructional materials and methods Use consistent school-wide practices and a variety of individualized methods to engage students in the classroom Use technology tools for instruction, planning, and communication and ensure student engagement Measure student achievement and progress towards learning objectives using the school\'s formative and summative assessment tools Evaluate academic achievement through detailed data analysis of student performance on a wide variety of metrics Provide ongoing and timely feedback to students on their progress towards meeting expectations and achieving goals Use student data to reflect on effectiveness of lessons and student achievement progress to improve instruction and personal practice Submit assessment data and reports to the Principal in a timely manner Create and manage a responsive learning environment that enables students to feel safe, be creative, and develop to their full potential Implement and enforce the school\'s code of conduct Organize and supervise approved field trips to enhance classroom learning Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, colleagues and administrators Develop and use rubrics for evaluating student products and performances Oversee and assist with student arrival/dismissal Work closely with all members of the school community, modeling citizenship, collaboration and mutual support Other tasks as assigned by the Administration Compensation

Candidates whose qualifications and experience reflect a strong record of success will be invited to participate in an in-person interview. Candidates who advance beyond the 1st interview will be asked to do a demo lesson presentation in a classroom setting with students present and observed by members of the school\'s administrative team.
