Senior Safety Manager role at
Smith Industries . Location: Midland, TX Salary: $130,000.00-$145,000.00 Industry: Oil and Gas Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide HSE programs and policies. Drive compliance with OSHA, TCEQ, DOT, and customer safety requirements. Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective and preventive measures. Track and report leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement. Partner with leadership, supervisors, and employees to promote a proactive safety culture. Oversee training programs, PPE and equipment readiness, and safety documentation. Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies, audits, and customer safety requirements. Mentor and lead HSE team members to build accountability and engagement. Key Requirements
8+ years of progressive HSE experience, with at least 5 years in heavy fabrication or manufacturing. Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 standards and environmental regulations. Proven track record in incident prevention, risk assessment, and compliance management. Preferred certifications: CSP, CIH, OSHA 30-hour (General Industry & Construction), First Aid/CPR Instructor. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Benefits
