Safety Specialist

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures. Provide safety training and education to employees, contractors, and management on topics such as hazard communication, emergency procedures, PPE, and ergonomics. Maintain records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and safety compliance documentation. Monitor and ensure compliance with safety laws, regulations, and industry standards. Coordinate emergency response drills and procedures, including evacuation plans and first aid/CPR training. Review and update safety policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes or identified risks. Participate in safety committees and represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies and auditors. Support the development and implementation of safety initiatives to continually improve the company's safety culture. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in safety, occupational health, or a related field. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards. Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments. Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or similar are highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits
Hourly pay rate: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour (rate may vary depending on experience, education, and certifications).
