Position Summary And Impact
The Senior Counsel enables LBS’ global business strategy by serving as the lead legal advisor for two or more of the company’s business units and related support functions. This role delivers legal guidance across a broad range of complex issues in a dynamic, multinational environment, with a focus on driving business transformation and innovation. The Senior Counsel will be the lead day-to-day attorney for the leaders of their assigned functional areas, while working directly with associates at all levels of the business, including individuals, managers, and senior leadership, in areas such as: Business Units (R&D, product management, etc.) Commercial (sales and marketing) Operations (supply chain, manufacturing, EH&S, real estate, etc.) Compliance and Enablement (QRA/MAPSS, clinical affairs, etc.) Strategy and Business Development (LBS and DHR/DHR Dx Platform) Major Responsibilities
Enable business units’ strategy and operations by providing practical, solution-oriented approaches to complex legal issues and risks, then drafting and negotiating agreements addressing those issues and risks. Serve as a leader and primary contact within the legal and compliance team, advising leaders of assigned business units on strategic and operational challenges. Act as a legal subject matter expert and strategic advisor on cross-functional projects, organizing and leading teams to solve complex business problems and effect strategic transactions. Partner with specialist attorneys and other professionals, including external counsel, on IP, employment, regulatory, compliance, M&A, joint ventures/strategic partnerships, and other matters. Manage commercial and other disputes, including litigations. Use Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to identify, design and implement continuous process improvement initiatives within the legal and compliance function. From time to time, support matters for other Danaher operating companies in the Diagnostic/IVD and Life Sciences markets. Essential Qualifications
JD from an accredited U.S. law school. Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. 6+ years of experience with complex commercial and corporate transactions, including 3+ years in a large law firm transactional practice. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a global client base and calendar and balance multiple matters simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with associates at all levels of the company. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the diagnostic/IVD industry. Experience in the medical device industry. Experience with healthcare regulation, including fraud and abuse (e.g., anti-kickback), FDA and CE/IVDR for medical devices, and data use and privacy (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Key Competencies

Remote position. Travel required (~15% or less, flexible). This job description may be updated and expanded as needed. The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $190,000 and is subject to modification.
