Senior Environmental Engineer
The Senior Environmental Engineer will lead a variety of environmental remediation projects for our organization. They work with A-C-T staff and resources from within their group and other A-C-T business groups to ensure the environmental projects meet the requirements of regulatory agencies, clients, and A-C-T.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
Execute environmental remediation projects involving conventional and innovative technologies for cleanup/removal of hazardous wastes, contaminated soils, and groundwater.
Manage technical aspects of site investigation and remediation, including feasibility analysis and studies.
Evaluate remedial technologies and design and implement in-situ and ex-situ remedial approaches.
Oversee operations and maintenance of remediation equipment/installations, ensure compliance with remedial system design specifications, and optimize system performance.
Review and interpret environmental regulations, guide data collection and analysis, and prepare permits and reports.
Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental requirements within Florida, such as RCRA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and others.
Supervise project staff and subcontractors.
Manage projects to ensure technical accuracy, stay within budget, and meet scheduled deadlines.
Provide technical expertise to project teams.
Assist in proposal preparation through the Strategic Development Group.
Work independently with minimal supervision, providing concise updates as needed.
Contribute to new business development and expand existing client relationships.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, or related field).
5-10 years of environmental consulting and design experience supporting site investigations, remediation, regulatory compliance, and environmental permitting.
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
Additional Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD and environmental modeling software.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
Motivated, customer-focused, self-starter with problem-solving skills and energetic personality.
Experience working with public and private sector clients, including technical approach development, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory interactions.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Uphold company ethics and values.
Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S., complete I-9 form within first three days.
Sign nondisclosure and noncompete agreements.
Negative drug screen as per company policy.
Eligibility to drive under company auto insurance.
