As a Senior Scientist, In Vitro Cell and Gene Therapy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the development of our in vitro capabilities. You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the Flow Cytometry & Cell Culture Labs, and your hands-on experience with essential scientific techniques in cell culture will be crucial to your success. Establishing in vitro laboratories to support the cell and gene therapy department. Build and lead the development of Flow Cytometry & cell culture Labs, including equipment setup, protocols, and training programs. Experimental design and execution: develop and implement experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to guide research activities. Cell culture and expansion: hands-on experience in cell culture and expansion techniques, ensuring maintenance and growth of cell lines. Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS): proficiency in FACS and sorting technologies to enable precise isolation and characterization of cell populations. Quality Assurance: ensure all in vitro activities adhere to GLP standards and maintain meticulous records of experiments and procedures. Team collaboration: work with cross-functional teams including in vivo researchers, scientists, and project managers to drive research projects forward and foster a collaborative, innovative environment. Perform required testing PQ/OQ for cell culture lab equipment (CO2 incubators, microscopes, automated cell counters, cryostorage units). Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on FACS, IVIS and irradiation equipment. Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects. Qualifications
Ph.D. in a relevant field with a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in flow cytometry. Strong expertise in cell culture, cell expansion, and FACS. Experience in establishing or leading a laboratory department is highly desirable. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with GLP and non-GLP toxicology studies. Previous experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. Knowledge and experience in cell and gene therapy programs is preferred. Why Pharmaron
