Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. If you’re ready to work on our planes, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in tip-top shape. We’re looking for a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) who has a valid Airframe & Powerplant certification to join our Technical Operations team in one of United’s domestic HUBS. In this vital role, you will provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe and Components. You’ll handle a wide variety of duties that make every day different, including inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repair, as well as routine maintenance. Responsibilities
Provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, powerplant, airframe and components. Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement and repair, and routine maintenance. Collaborate with team members to ensure aircraft are flight-ready and meet safety standards. Operate safely in various weather conditions and work environments. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED/Educational Equivalent FAA A&P License Valid US Driver's License Computer literacy Must pass a background check and drug screen upon contingent job offer An eagerness to learn and willingness to train The ability to access elevated aircraft areas via ladders, lift trucks, boom lifts and other devices The strength to lift 50 pounds, physical flexibility and the ability to work in confined spaces Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Compensation and Benefits
The starting rate for this role is $42.48. This is a bonus-eligible position (profit sharing). Work Schedule
This is a union position based on seniority; you will be assigned an initial schedule designed to meet airport needs. Available for any shift within a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays.
