Senior Technical Manager, Environmental Engineering; WSP in the U.S. is seeking a leader to provide direction, client development and delivery for Environmental Assessment & Remediation and Due Diligence services. The role is based in the Durham, NC office and may involve travel to other WSP and client locations. Your Impact

Consult for federal, municipal, commercial, and industrial clients on environmental investigation and remediation projects. Support the service line in sales and profitability while ensuring integrity, safety, quality and operational excellence. Develop and manage proposal efforts; collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, and the marketing team to deliver quality projects. Maintain high-value client relationships; manage opportunities through local, regional and national client accounts when practical. Collaborate with project staff locally and nationally to support environmental projects and grow WSP market share across targeted clients. Help plan and execute business growth and improvement strategies; pursue new horizons and services. Engage in public outreach, marketing and client communication. Ensure high quality, effectiveness, and efficiency to achieve client and company goals. Provide leadership and mentorship to staff with ongoing performance feedback and development support. Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and Health & Safety culture; exercise ethical decision-making regarding funds and resources. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina (with ability to add other States as needed) 10+ years of related experience Experience with successful proposal writing and development Project management and business development experience Knowledge and experience with Federal and State (NC, VA) environmental regulatory programs Experience with markets including Federal, Industrial, Commercial, Energy, and Transportation Familiarity with assessment and remediation technologies for a variety of site settings and contaminants Demonstrated expertise in feasibility evaluation, remedial design, remedial action, and long-term operation & maintenance of remediation systems Strong organizational, communication and technical writing skills Mentorship experience for junior staff and quality control reviews Experience planning, procuring for, and executing projects using PM and accounting systems Must pass drug screen, background check, and satisfactory driving record per company policy Proven commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WSP policies About WSP
