Overview
The DarkStar Group, a GRVTY Company, is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Herndon, VA. This role supports a fast-paced, high-impact program that embeds data engineers, data scientists, and ETL developers into intelligence analyst groups to deliver data engineering solutions that turn data into intelligence for immediate mission needs. The work location includes Chantilly, VA; McLean, VA; and various Northern Virginia field offices. Remote work is not supported. The environment emphasizes flexibility, innovation, and a focus on delivering results. Responsibilities
Lead automated security testing efforts leveraging Sponsor’s enterprise scanning tools. Create and deliver Monthly Vulnerability Scans and Monthly Privileged Users and Admin reports. Oversee security by protecting data and enforcing need-to-know principles. Work with the Tech team to create any necessary POAMs (Plan of Action and Milestones). Assist the PM with the Contract Security Plan and collaborate with Sponsor’s ISSM and INFOSEC Program Council as needed. Author and maintain the program’s System Security Plan (SSP) for A&A. Provide required security education and plans to the sponsor for the program. Author and maintain the program’s Automated Information Systems (AIS) Plan. Required Skills and Qualifications
4–7 years' experience with: Application security standards and processes. Accreditation and Authorization (A&A), including documentation, POAMs, and remediation. Application and data security requirements for authorities to develop and operate systems (ATD, ATO), including encryption, role-based security, information assurance, and monitoring/auditing/reporting.
