Position Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an immediate opening for a dynamic Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Engineer in our growing Engineering Services Group. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, MOT, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, traffic, and materials disciplines, a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. Location

This role will be based out of our Bellevue, WA, Federal Way, WA or Lone Tree, CO offices. Responsibilities

Coordinate with project team to understand the design limits and constraints Develop and lead MOT design production on pursuit and final design projects Review project scope and contracts to assure MOT plans meet project requirements Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development Coordinate with project estimating and scheduling staff to develop and optimize construction phasing Strong focus on innovation and ability to envision, develop and evaluate multiple phasing options, design optimization, and alternative technical concepts Lead interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure that project elements are compatible Lead quality control reviews, comment resolution meetings, and verify corrections are completed Lead project level meetings Interface with project stakeholders as needed Develop Transportation Management Plans Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or greater in Civil Engineering Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) Minimum of 8 years of U.S. transportation project experience, and 5+ years of MOT experience Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) a plus North America Design build project experience is required WSDOT or CDOT experience is preferred Roadway or Traffic Engineering experience is preferred Extensive knowledge of the MUTCD, Roadside Design Guide and construction traffic control design Experience in developing Maintenance of Traffic Plans for Design-Build projects is desired Experience in development of Transportation Management Plans is desired Critical thinking skills necessary with the ability to plan ahead Knowledge of design software including MicroStation, Inroads, ORD, SignCAD, AutoCAD and Civil3D Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing Other Requirements

Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. May work at various different locations and conditions may vary. Compensation

Base pay range: $138,000/yr - $160,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location) Employment Details
