Overview
HazTek is seeking a qualified
Safety Management Professional
to serve as the
Site Safety Lead
in Wilmington, DE. This position supports large-scale construction activities and partners with project leadership to strengthen and expand the site’s safety culture.
Responsibilities
Lead and administer site-wide safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards
Coach, mentor, and develop safety team members while guiding contractor leadership on hazard recognition and best practices
Oversee incident investigations, corrective actions, and reporting of safety metrics/KPIs
Conduct regular site safety inspections and coordinate safety activities across multiple projects
Represent safety in project planning, high-risk work reviews, and contractor onboarding
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive safety management experience in construction or industrial environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience overseeing high-risk work
Proven leadership in managing and mentoring safety teams
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, or related field preferred; CSP or CHST certification strongly preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
