Epic Beaker Senior Application Analyst
Montefiore Health System is seeking a Sr. Application Analyst for our LIS team to work with our Ancillary System Applications for Core and Blood Bank Laboratory, HLA Laboratory and Stem Cell Laboratory. The Senior Application Analyst provides technological consultation, support and development to the Laboratory Information System. Introduction

Analysis of user needs and requirements, application installation, table build and testing. Experience with the Blood Bank Application System Safetrace Tx and BloodTrack. Experience with Stem Cell Laboratory Application Title 21 or others. Writing user documentation. Interface between the departmental users/clients and the various divisions of MIS. Provide day-to-day operational support for LIS. Triage network/workstation/hardware related issues. Coordinate modifications to applications for different departments. Provide advanced application troubleshooting support for applications as necessary. Write test plans and coordinate user and internal testing. Resolve and re-test identified errors and problems. Assist with workflow redesign and procedural changes. Assist with devising and documenting system designs. Recommend improvements and increase efficiency of the IT systems and users. Assist with coordination of vendor activities including hardware and software installation. Test new systems, version upgrades, interfaces and other system modifications. Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis. Commute throughout all facilities within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and other Montefiore IT clients, as needed. Perform other related duties. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, Health Informatics, or related field (experience may substitute). Epic Beaker CP/AP certification. 5+ years of experience. Strong technical skills, especially with Windows and Excel. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team. Comfortable in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Preferred Qualifications
MT, Pathologist, Microbiologist, or Lab Scientist certification. Background in LIS and pathology (clinical labs, microbiology, surgical pathology, cytology, blood bank). Experience with Data Innovations (DI) and Point-of-Care middleware (e.g., Telcor, QML, NovaNet, RALS, UniPOC). Familiarity with hardware, networking, and server infrastructure.
