The Senior Quantitative Developer will lead the creation of analytics platforms and digital tools that drive decision-making across Revenue, Operations, and Continuous Improvement within our client’s Commercial division. Reporting to the Director of Analytics Products, this role focuses on designing and deploying technology to optimize asset profitability, manage exposure, and enable data-driven offtake strategies. You’ll build dashboards, models, and data pipelines to measure and report on portfolio risk and positions, while also advancing the team’s cloud infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, and analytics ecosystem. This position is critical in shaping the analytical foundation that supports our client’s strategic choices and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Drive product development initiatives, ensuring close collaboration between Revenue, Digital, Project Development, Finance, and Asset Management (Performance & O&M) teams
Partner with external stakeholders and vendors to manage data ingestion, data sharing, modeling, and analytics delivery
Develop innovative analytics tools to meet Operations and Maintenance needs and support the scaling of the asset portfolio
Use CI/CD pipelines to deploy and test reusable libraries
Collaborate with data scientists and the Digital Center of Expertise to enhance cloud computing capabilities
Build predictive modeling libraries in partnership with quantitative analysts to support commercial decision-making
Develop interactive dashboards in the cloud analytics environment and surface actionable insights for stakeholders
Contribute to the design and rollout of a future ETRM platform for Origination and Portfolio Management
Serve as the Commercial data and infrastructure expert, with an initial emphasis on advancing the analytics platform
Qualifications
5–7 years of experience developing data-driven software in collaborative environments (Git, CI/CD, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
Expertise in programming languages and quantitative frameworks: Python (or similar analytics languages), Dash (or comparable visualization libraries), and AWS Cloud (EKS, EC2, S3, Secrets Manager, ArgoCD, Grafana, etc.)
Experience with data pipelines, batch/streaming ingestion, APIs and connectors, data lakes/warehouses (Snowflake, S3, Postgres), ETL/orchestration tools, and containerized applications (Kubernetes)
Strong track record of creating software solutions for business use cases and understanding of analytics products and ecosystems
Deep knowledge of data engineering principles and lifecycle management — ingest, store, transform, monitor, and serve
Ability to design infrastructure, data products, and tools to empower data scientists
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
