Lead Data Architect / Developer
to support and enhance our existing data infrastructure while leading the design and implementation of a modern, cloud-based data platform. This role is perfect for a technically strong professional who enjoys both maintaining mission-critical systems and building innovative solutions from the ground up. In the immediate term, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing our
SQL Server 2017
environment to ensure stability and performance for business operations. At the same time, you will help shape our next-generation platform in
Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric , driving data architecture, integration, and reporting initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work across a wide range of technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a lasting impact on the future of our data ecosystem—all while ensuring continuity and reliability of today’s systems. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly partner with other departments and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain the current
SQL Server 2017
environment, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability. Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions in
Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric , including Azure SQL, Data Factory, and Synapse. Develop and optimize
data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations
between systems using modern tools and best practices. Build and maintain
Power BI dashboards and data models
to support analytics and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions aligned to business needs. Ensure
data quality, governance, and security
across both legacy and modern platforms. Document architecture, workflows, and processes to support knowledge sharing. Proactively monitor and troubleshoot systems and integrations. Lead and contribute to the planning and execution of the
data platform migration strategy . Stay current with emerging Azure and Fabric capabilities, recommending innovations where appropriate. Debug and troubleshoot
SQL, SQL Server databases, Python code, and APIs . Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data development, or database administration. 3+ years of experience with
Microsoft Azure data services
(Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.). Strong experience with
Microsoft Fabric
for modern analytics, data modeling, and integration. Deep expertise in
SQL Server , including performance tuning, stored procedures, and database design. Proven experience with
Power BI
dashboards and data models. Development experience with
T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Python, and APIs . Hands-on experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and integrations. Exposure to multiple database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, NoSQL, columnar databases). Familiarity with
CI/CD practices
(Azure DevOps preferred). Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience
Background in
Construction, Single Family, Multi-Family, Commercial Property Management, or Accounting . Experience supporting and modernizing legacy systems while migrating to cloud-based platforms. Familiarity with
