Description ICF International seeks an experienced Databricks Engineer with cybersecurity experience to support research and development of new cyber analytic capabilities that help the US protect and defend its networks and critical information systems. The successful cleared candidate will act as a Databricks Engineer to support a large federal cyber security analytic program. Your work will contribute to understanding how cyber-attacks work, how vulnerabilities are exploited, and how hostile cyber actors operate. You will help experiment with and prototype future cyber capabilities for implementation at large scale.
This role is primarily telework-based with occasional meetings at client locations (Arlington, VA or Pensacola, FL) or ICF facilities within the Washington, DC metro area.
What You Will Be Doing
Perform knowledge elicitation from customer subject matter experts and translate that into analytic solutions
Design, engineer, and optimize the sustainment of large-scale distributed computation platforms and supporting environments for various stakeholders, business owners, and industry partners
Oversee the transition of services from third-party vendors to the analytic environment and provide ad hoc and formal end-user training
Identify applicable data for analytics and create solutions to acquire, transform, load or correlate data components to and from the analytic environment
Develop custom data modeling procedures to assist with data mining, modeling, and production
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
Interpret and communicate results to non-technical customers
What You Must Have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with the Databricks Intelligence Platform
Minimum of 4 years related experience developing analytic tools, processes, and governance for storing, modeling, capturing, and delivering data to the client’s enterprise
Knowledge of the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) and DevSecOps
Hands-on experience in data modeling and working with datasets of all sizes using data mining and data analysis methods/tools
Active Security clearance required
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
Practical experience with cyber threats, tools, techniques, and processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical details to clients
Experience in Intrusion Detection, Analytics, Information Sharing, Intrusion Prevention, Core Infrastructure
Experience with BI tools and other visualization software
Programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or R; SQL experience
Experience producing visual analytics and dashboards for varied user roles
Linux/Unix and Windows OS security knowledge
Databricks Intelligence Platform experience
CompTIA Security+ or higher certification preferred

Compensation The pay range for this position, based on full-time employment, is
$89,203.00 - $151,646.00 . Pay decisions consider factors such as experience, location, and certifications. This position is based in the Virginia Client Office (VA88).
