The Dietary Services team collaborates with other departments to support resident well-being and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

Menu Planning: Develop and implement well-balanced, nutritious, and appetizing menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents. Food Procurement: Manage the purchasing of food and supplies while maintaining budgetary guidelines. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise dietary staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Dietary Assessment: Conduct assessments of residents\' dietary requirements and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure needs are met. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation, food handling, and infection control. Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality and presentation of meals, addressing concerns promptly. Budget Management: Manage the dietary services budget efficiently while delivering high-quality food and services. Customer Service: Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, addressing concerns or special requests. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and stay updated on industry best practices. Qualifications

Minimum required by law, but not less than a high school diploma. Successful completion of an approved Food Management Course. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Certified Food Service Manager (CFSM) certification (preferred). Previous experience in dietary management in a healthcare or senior living setting. Strong knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and dietary restrictions. Excellent leadership and team-building skills. Understanding of health and safety regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in computer applications, including menu planning software. Essential Job Functions

Maintain accurate records for purchasing, expenses, inventory, budgets, staff time charts, cash receipts, and in-service Dietitian reports monthly. Ensure adequate staffing and lead yearly evaluations, interviews, and orientation for new personnel. Supervise and review diet changes and residents\' nutritional needs and habits as part of care planning. Collaborate with the Consultant Dietitian to develop policy, procedures, and cycle menus compliant with state and federal regulations. Assist in and plan special activities involving the dietary department. Maintain in-service records. Supervise meal preparation, service, and cleaning of work areas to ensure residents are served and satisfied. Other Job Functions
