Overview

Lead Software Engineer role within JPMorganChase, part of the Consumer & Community Banking Legal & Regulatory Control Operations (L&RCO) Product Group. You are an integral part of an agile team that enhances, builds, and delivers trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will drive critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or address technical problems Develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies Contributes to an inclusive team culture that values diversity, opportunity, and respect Leads as a hands-on Full Stack developer, including designing and building AWS Cloud solutions Writes SQL queries (Oracle) and works with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk) Required Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience 7+ years of experience in full-stack development with Java, Groovy, and/or Python 5+ years of hands-on UI experience with JavaScript and UI frameworks (React or Angular) 7+ years of experience with Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API Development, Design Patterns, JPA, JUnit, Log4J) Hands-on experience writing SQL queries (Oracle) Strong experience designing and building solutions on AWS (EC2, S3, MSK, Lambda, ELB, ECS, EKS, etc.) Experience with development tools (IntelliJ or Eclipse, SOAP UI or Postman) Experience with source code management (Git, Maven, CI/CD) Experience with cloud technologies (Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud) Strong ability to learn and apply new technologies Experience mentoring junior team members Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) Knowledge of Experimentation, Chaos Engineering, Fault Injection, and FMEA Understanding of Kafka, OAuth/OpenID, Windows ADFS Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, OpenTelemetry) Experience with Microservices, data usage patterns, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) Ability to capture and share cloud architecture best practices across teams Ability to back decisions with research and compare multiple options About Us
