Annual Bonus The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a hands-on Lead, Systems Integration & Automation with expertise in Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server, Microsoft Graph API, Power Automate, and Azure services. This role is an even split between hands-on technical work and leadership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys designing and building integrations while also mentoring and guiding a small development team. The successful candidate will deliver database-driven solutions, scalable APIs, and automation workflows, while ensuring best practices and alignment with business needs. Primary Responsibilities: Database Development (SQL Server): Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Apply indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning to ensure scalability and reliability. API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET Core/.NET Framework and integrate with Microsoft Graph API for Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD). Automation (Power Automate): Develop and maintain automation workflows across SQL Server, APIs, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365 using Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop). Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations for reliability. Cloud & Security: Leverage Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, and Service Bus to deliver secure and scalable integrations. Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth, Azure AD, JWT) and ensure compliance with governance frameworks. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and analysis across SQL, APIs, and automation workflows to ensure stability and performance. Lead and mentor a small team of developers and automation engineers, conducting code reviews, training, and coaching. Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into working technical solutions. Oversee project planning, sprint execution, and delivery, ensuring commitments are met on time. Define and enforce best practices for SQL coding, API development, RPA design, and cloud integration. Serve as the primary technical lead for systems integration and automation, balancing team management with active development. Foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Qualifications : Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (database design, T-SQL, performance tuning, stored procedures, triggers). Proven experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and ASP.NET Web API development. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API and Microsoft 365 integrations. Practical experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop) and RPA best practices. Experience with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus). Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions). Demonstrated leadership experience guiding small technical teams. Preferred: Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI). Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus). Microsoft certifications such as: Supervision Exercised: Direct guidance and oversight of development staff and contractors.
