Sr Principal Engineer Embedded Software - AVE GN&C Software . This position will be located in

Roy, Utah

Lead a team of GN&C Software Systems Engineers in the planning, execution, tracking, and technical problem solving of Software Requirements and Design (CSSAM/RVAM) as part of a larger AVE GN&C Software Development group. Serve in the GN&C Software Engineer role with a strong emphasis on both technical understanding and program management skills, including a deep understanding of the software engineering life cycle for embedded systems and Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques. Contribute to software/system architecture decisions and the development of command and control software. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage work packages to support schedules and technical scope. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years Must be able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time 5+ years of experience with Agile, Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket and working in cross-functional Scrum teams 5+ years leading Software Engineering teams with the ability to plan, execute, and manage the technical scope 5+ years of experience in software development using languages such as C/C++, Python 5+ years of MBSE, software design & requirement management 5+ years of experience with the software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance 5+ years of experience directing software/system architecture decisions and developing command and control software 1 year of experience as a Work Package Lead (WPL) tracking and managing schedule and performance Preferred Qualifications

Experience in planning, executing, and tracking work of multi-discipline teams via Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) Experience in establishing requirements and architecture traceability at the Segment to CSCI boundary Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with DO-178C Flight Critical Systems Safety programming Experience with certification, airworthiness, testing, and qualification of flight and safety critical systems CAM certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of start date #Sentinelsoftware Compensation and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
