Overview Position Title: Software Engineer IV • Department: IT • Reports to: Senior Director of IT • Location: Tulsa, OK

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer IV to design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications that power our healthcare analytics platform. This role requires hands-on expertise in React, Python/Django, SQL Server, and cloud deployment using Azure and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate brings both frontend and backend development skills with a strong understanding of agile methodologies, modern DevOps practices, and scalable architecture patterns. You''ll be instrumental in building robust, secure applications that process healthcare data and deliver actionable insights to our clients. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop fullstack web applications using React for frontend and Python/Django for backend services

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with SQL Server databases for healthcare data processing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git/GitHub workflows for automated testing and deployment

Deploy and manage applications on Azure cloud infrastructure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives using Jira for project management

Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to handle large healthcare datasets

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full technology stack

Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making and architectural discussions

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our development practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

5+ years of professional software development experience with fullstack applications

Strong proficiency in React.js, including modern hooks, state management, and component architecture

Extensive experience with Python and Django framework for backend development

Deep experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools like Cline

Solid understanding of SQL Server, including database design, optimization, and complex query development

Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes

Proficiency with Azure cloud services and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) deployment

Strong experience with Git version control and GitHub workflows for collaborative development

Experience working in agile development environments with tools like Jira

Understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture

Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test-driven development practices

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Additional Qualifications

Experience with healthcare data, HIPAA compliance, and data security best practices

Knowledge of additional Azure services (App Service, Function Apps, Service Bus, etc.)

Familiarity with data analytics tools and visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, etc.)

Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates)

Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Application Insights, Prometheus, etc.)

Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing technology company

Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities
