Overview
Senior Manager of IT Business Solutions at Flow Control Group (FCG). This role leads the operational design, optimization, integration, and delivery of ERP solutions across distribution and assembly business units. The role requires hands-on expertise to translate complex business needs into scalable ERP configurations and integrations, drive collaboration, and deliver measurable business value. Responsibilities
Design and implement robust ERP solutions that align with SOPs in distribution fulfillment, service, procurement, assembly, and finance. Identify opportunities to streamline business processes using ERP capabilities. Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units; partner with business analysts and IT developers to translate requirements into technical solutions. Lead technical design for integrations between ERP and external systems (CRM, eCommerce, WMS, EDI, BI tools). Collaborate with finance, operations, sales & supply chain, and other departments to gather requirements. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, functional flow diagrams, and data mappings. Provide technical leadership during implementation and post-go-live support; mentor junior team members. Ensure data integrity, system performance, and compliance with internal controls. Demonstrate strong understanding of business processes and IT systems; excel in communication and stakeholder engagement; manage cross-functional projects. Management Responsibilities
Manage a team of IT Business Partners / ERP Solutions specialists; hire, onboard, and train new employees. Motivate and inspire the team; provide coaching, mentorship, and career development. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture; set clear expectations and KPIs; conduct regular performance reviews. Address underperformance and recognize achievements; implement improvement plans as needed. Define team objectives aligned with company goals; develop action plans and timelines; monitor progress and adjust strategies. Analyze issues, identify root causes, and make informed decisions under pressure. Adapt to changing circumstances and lead through uncertainty; track metrics and generate reports for leadership. Maintain accurate records of team activities and outcomes. Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems, including multi-site or multi-brand implementations. Proficiency in SQL with the ability to work with complex queries and large data sets. Deep understanding of ERP data flow and integration points; solid grasp of distribution, logistics, procurement, and service operations. Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams. Experience creating/managing AI agents through CoPilot/ChatGPT/Claude or similar is desired. Experience with cloud-based ERP transformations is strongly desirable; Six Sigma/Lean operations experience is desirable. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Must have the ability to legally work in the United States without sponsorship and be able to travel internationally; travel up to 30% (approximately 1–2 weeks per month) as needed.
