What You Will Do

Lead the delivery of architectural projects from conception through construction, ensuring quality and timely completion.

Conduct thorough research on code requirements to validate the feasibility of design solutions.

Manage project resources including budgets, work plans, consultants, and schedules to align with project goals.

Coordinate closely with the Project Manager to track key deliverable dates and project milestones.

Develop innovative design solutions that meet client specifications while preparing and presenting accurate budget and timeline estimations.

Maintain strong collaboration with the Project Leadership Team, including the Project Designer, Project Manager, and Principal in Charge.

Act as a liaison between clients and the architectural team, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.

Facilitate ongoing communication through team meetings, detailed minutes, and project updates with consultants and internal teams.

Ensure compliance of all project documentation with Populous policies and industry standards.

Lead and motivate the project team to achieve successful, on-time, and within-budget project delivery.

Oversee construction administration tasks, including processing submittals, RFIs, and other construction-related documentation.

Provide leadership in the office, offering coaching, mentoring, and professional development to staff.

Conduct regular work reviews, identify areas for improvement, and communicate concerns to project teams.

Determine staffing requirements for projects as needed to support project success.

Performs additional responsibilities and duties as assigned to meet project and organizational needs.

Essential Qualifications

Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) from an accredited program.

A minimum of 15 years’ experience in architectural practice with prior experience in all phases of architectural projects.

Project experience with sport stadiums, arenas, convention centers, hospitality, and aviation is a strong plus.

Registered Architect with a current license.

NCARB registration preferred. LEED knowledge is a plus but not required.

Additional Details

Travel will be required.

Occasional overtime may be required.
