Senior DSP Software Engineer - Undersea Sensor Systems

Pay Estimated: $56.78-$61.78/Hour This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.). This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize

DSP algorithms

for

undersea sensor platforms Integrate DSP software with

embedded systems

in collaboration with hardware and software teams Perform

performance analysis

and algorithm tuning for reliability in harsh undersea environments Create and maintain

technical documentation

for DSP algorithms and software Lead

design/code reviews , participate in testing cycles, and mentor junior engineers Troubleshoot and resolve DSP-related issues in deployed systems Monitor industry trends and incorporate

cutting-edge DSP technologies

for undersea sensing Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law Bachelor’s degree

in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field (Master’s preferred) Active DoD Secret security clearance 5+ years of DSP software development

(3+ with Master’s) Strong proficiency in C/C++ Experience with DSP algorithm design , development, and optimization for

undersea or sonar systems Proficiency with MATLAB

for algorithm modeling and simulation Familiarity with DSP hardware architectures

and

signal processing theory Knowledge of underwater acoustics

and

sonar system design Preferred Qualifications

RTOS

and

embedded software development Hands-on work with

submarine or surface ship sonar systems Application of

AI/ML techniques

to DSP signal classification or detection Experience in

oceanographic data modeling

or analysis Familiarity with
