Overview

Senior Software Engineer, Full-stack, Public Sector at Google. Role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying solutions for public sector clients using Google Cloud technologies. Responsibilities

Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects. Work with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements. Participate in and lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g., deciding between available technologies). Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). Articulate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. 5 years of experience in software development. Experience with Kubernetes. Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development. Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph. Preferred qualifications

Certifications in: CKAD, CKA, or CKS. 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing. Experience developing accessible technologies. About the Job

Google Public Sector's Sovereign Mission Solutions team develops products that provide automation, repeatable patterns, and intelligent insights through data analytics and Generative AI. The team aims to solve problems for all and create opportunities for everyone through technology. This position requires maintaining an active US Government TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and the ability to obtain commensurate clearances for government agencies as needed. Compensation and Location

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salaries vary by role, level, and location. Specific salary ranges for your location will be shared during the hiring process. Compensation details reflect base salary only; bonus, equity, and benefits are separate. Equal Opportunity
