Building and Grounds Maintenance Manager . The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. This is a grade 29, non-bargaining, exempt position located at the Takoma Park, Silver Spring Campus. The Building and Grounds Maintenance Manager, under supervision and/or direction, is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for the College community. The role includes supervising staff, overseeing building services such as trash removal and bio-hazardous materials, grounds maintenance including landscaping and snow removal, and supporting campus activities like meetings, celebrations, athletic events, and Commencement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Scheduling, inspecting, and reviewing work of staff to ensure standards are met. Setting goals for the unit and conducting performance evaluations. Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff. Providing training, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed. Ensuring safety compliance and adherence to policies and procedures. Managing work orders and coordinating landscaping plans. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. At least five years of progressive experience in building custodial and grounds maintenance, including leadership experience in a union environment. Knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, equipment, and safety precautions. Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and operational management applications. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items. Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer visa sponsorship. Salary range: $72,455 – $94,203 annually, with a maximum of $115,951. Initial placement depends on experience and internal equity. Application Process:
