Overview
Systems Administrator 3 with Security Clearance. This opportunity supports an Enterprise IT contract with a team of Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, Systems Engineers and System Integration Technicians, responsible for the architecture, engineering, integration, operations, maintenance and sustainment of a multi-level Enterprise IT environment. The contract includes engineering support for system development, fielded systems, and labs spanning enabled and high-speed capabilities, satellite access solutions, and mission operations. Responsibilities
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems. Assist users in accessing and using IT systems. Support day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers. Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform system capacity analysis and planning. Apply in-depth troubleshooting of IT systems and provide detailed analysis for escalated tickets. Support the dispatch system and hardware problems; stay involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage Linux (or other applicable) operating systems; install/load OS software; troubleshoot and maintain network components; implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware. Understand system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Analyze and resolve complex problems related to server hardware, applications, and software integration. Qualifications
Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Certifications: IAT II. Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph. Seniority level
