Job Title / Location Quality Engineer (Systems) – Santa Ana, CA

Description The Quality Systems Engineer role ensures our products meet aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements. The candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that support continuous improvement, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Quality Systems AS 9100: Internal audits, customer audits, corrective actions, continuous improvement, performance reports and metrics, supplier management, and FOD program.

AS13100 – MSA (gage R&R), PFMEA, PPAP.

Other supporting responsibilities: Product verification, contract review, manufacturing router review, special processes review, inspection (FAIR), and shipment release (Source, DSQR/DQR).

Education and Experience

HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience in Aerospace industry (mechanical).

Or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with minimum 3 years in Aerospace industry (mechanical).

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Dimensional inspection and GD&T

GAGE, R&R, SPC, PFMEA, PPAP

Experience with AS9100 systems

Experience with internal audits, customer audits, and NADCAP audits

Physical and Environmental Elements While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors in office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate to loud. The employee must frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Compliance and Other Requirements This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The incumbent must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee or asylee status.

Compensation and Work Location Salary Range:

$80,000 to $95,000 annually. Pay is determined based on location, experience, education, skills, and business needs. This posting indicates the salary range applicable to California.
