Made Cascade is hiring a
Sheet Metal Technician
to run
CNC press brakes and laser cutting equipment
in both
prototype/R&D
and
production
settings. You’ll handle true
job-shop sheet metal work —from programming and forming to finishing and packaging—while juggling a mix of one-off prototypes and recurring production orders. Materials include
mild steel, stainless, and aluminum , with occasional deliveries to local clients in the greater Seattle area. What You’ll Do
Operate
CNC laser
and
CNC press brake
for prototyping and production Program parts at the console , set up tooling, and verify first articles Run multiple machines/jobs while maintaining quality and throughput Read/interpret drawings and create/revise shop documentation Perform
deburring, polishing, cleaning , and prep for finishing/packaging Install hardware/fasteners (PEM/standoffs, etc.) Perform
QC/dimensional inspections
and maintain tolerances Collaborate with engineering on
R&D prototypes ; offer design feedback Assist teammates on other shop projects during downtime Qualifications
Trade school training in sheet metal fabrication
or
equivalent hands-on experience Solid math and print-reading skills; comfortable programming at the machine Experience with
sheet metal fabrication , fastener installation, and shop practices Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with
Amada press brakes
and
Laguna laser cutters MIG/TIG welding and advanced fabrication skills Physical Requirements
Stand/sit for extended periods; use required PPE Lift/move
10–50 lbs
regularly; operate pallet jack/forklift Comfortable with hand/power tools and assisting in facility projects Benefits & Perks
