Job Summary

The Senior Engineering Advisor is a senior-level technical authority responsible for resolving the most complex network and cloud infrastructure issues across a diverse client base. This role requires expert-level knowledge in both on-premises and cloud environments, with a focus on delivering secure, stable, and high-performing network solutions. As the top escalation point within the organization, this engineer leads in-depth root cause analysis, mentors team members, and contributes to the development of best practices and process improvements. By combining technical leadership with hands-on problem-solving, this role plays a critical part in maintaining service excellence and driving innovation across Integrity’s technical operations. This is a hybrid position requiring two days in the Integrity office. Key Responsibilities

Advanced Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution

Serve as the highest escalation point for complex network and cloud connectivity issues across multiple client environments. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting using packet analysis, log reviews, and diagnostic tools to resolve critical network issues. Analyze system and software environment issues that impact business productivity Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring network or system problems and implement long-term corrective actions. Work collaboratively with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, vendors, and internal engineers to resolve issues across hybrid or cloud- environments. Cloud Networking & Hybrid Infrastructure Support

Design, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud networking solutions in Azure primarily, with some knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. Support hybrid cloud and multi-cloud networking solutions, including SD-WAN, VPNs, VPC peering, and interconnects. Support Management with Microsoft Entra ID Connect Optimize on-premises server infrastructure and cloud network architectures for performance, cost-efficiency, and security. Implement and manage cloud-based firewalls and VPN connectivity Ensure compliance with cloud security frameworks and best practices for securing cloud environments. Technical Leadership & Mentorship

Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight to level 1-3 engineers, assisting in troubleshooting and knowledge development. Lead internal training sessions on advanced network troubleshooting, cloud networking, and security best practices. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on networking technologies, Server Infrastructure, and cloud networking solutions within the MSP. Assist in refining escalation procedures to improve response times and resolution rates. Client & Vendor Interaction

Act as a trusted technical expert for key clients, providing strategic guidance on network improvements, server migrations, application migrations, cloud transitions, and security enhancements. Communicate complex network, server, and software issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear expectations and alignment. Work with third-party vendors, cloud service providers, and carriers to resolve external networking, system, or software issues affecting client environments. Automation & Continuous Improvement

Identify recurring network and cloud issues and implement automation or process improvements to reduce manual troubleshooting. Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements that apply across multiple client environments Document network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and RCA findings to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing. Implement PowerShell and other scripting to automate tasks across multiple clients Stay up to date with emerging network and cloud technologies, ensuring best-in-class MSP service offerings. Additional Duties

Participate in the on-call rotation as required. Attend and contribute to professional and technical training sessions, sharing key insights for individual and organizational improvement. Perform other tasks as assigned to support business objectives. Qualifications & Skills

7+ years of experience in IT solution design, architecture, or consulting, preferably within an MSP environment. Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, VMware, or equivalent). Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Solution Design & Estimation

Ability to design scalable, cost-effective, and secure IT solutions. Experience with project estimation, bill of parts creation, and licensing models. Vendor selection and procurement processes. Strong Excel and writing skills to communicate solution components and needs analysis Networking & Infrastructure

Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, OSPF, STP, and subnetting. Experience with firewalls, switches, and routers (Sonicwall, Meraki, Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.). Knowledge of SD-WAN, routing, switching, wireless technologies. Cloud Computing & Virtualization

Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Virtual Machines, Azure AD, networking, Azure Virtual Desktop). AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.) is a plus. Virtualization platforms, SAN, and Clustering (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V). Microsoft 365 & Productivity Solutions

Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive). Microsoft Defender for Business & Compliance Solutions. Management with Entra ID Connect, Intune, Conditional Access Policy. Storage & Backup Solutions

SAN/NAS solutions and best practices. Backup & disaster recovery solutions (Veeam Backup). Business continuity planning and DR strategy development. Server & Endpoint Management

Windows Servers (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, RDS). Scripting with RMM tools and Powershell Experience with Linux-based systems is a plus. Endpoint management solutions (Intune, RMM tools like Automate). Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Sitting for extended periods while working at a computer. Occasional lifting and moving of IT equipment (e.g., laptops, desktops, peripherals, or small networking devices) weighing up to 40 lbs. Hybrid work model – combination of remote work and in-office presence. Office setting: Open-space office environment with shared workstations and collaborative areas. Remote work: Requires a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace, free of distractions, for focus and productivity. Collaboration: Regular virtual meetings, calls, and team interactions through digital communication tools.
