Overview

SAIC is seeking cleared (TS/SCI) Data Engineer / Architect to support a recently awarded Navy Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) contract. An active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required. Duties And Responsibilities

Define and implement a next-generation data architecture for the Common Digital Foundation (CDF) to ensure long-term scalability. Create and manage robust and reliable data pipelines from diverse data sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) aligning with data governance policies, security standards, and industry best practices. Develop and implement data standards, procedures, and definitions for data governance in line with higher headquarters policies when applicable. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools. Ensure data curation processes maintain accuracy and integrity through a quality assurance process. Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to ensure data solutions are accessible and reliable. Design and implement effective data storage solutions using appropriate technologies (cloud and on-premise). Contribute to documentation of data architecture, data pipelines, data catalog, and ETL capabilities. Work is primarily performed on site in San Diego, CA with some hybrid remote flexibility. You must live in the local area to frequently come on site. Qualifications

Required Education and Years Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and thirteen (13) years of experience. Required Clearance US Citizenship; Active TS/SCI clearance is required. Required Experience And Skills Proven experience in building and managing data pipelines, data storage, and associated infrastructure. Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java) for data processing and automation. Experience in data visualization tools and techniques. Understanding of data warehousing solutions and ETL frameworks. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services. Experience with data governance frameworks and tools, as well as data security. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Preferred Skills And Experience An advanced degree is a plus. Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000.
