Job Description: Software Development Senior Manager (OCI)
OCI Platform team is looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead a software team responsible for building a new shared data plane service. We’re looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about driving team culture, excels at people management, relationship management, and developing a strong development team. – M3 Responsibilities
Own and build a highly available OCI service. Provide strategic leadership and guidance to a dedicated software development team. Drive the execution and delivery of the service roadmap, ensuring projects are completed with the highest quality and within specified timelines. Engage in hands-on management, including addressing customer issues, managing escalations, and deploying code aligned with change management procedures. Maintain and enhance technical depth in software development practices and architectural design. Monitor service KPI metrics, alarms, logging, and overall service health. Lead the team in Agile development methodologies in a fast-paced environment. Location : This team is targeting candidates in the U.S. who can work ONSITE in Austin, TX or Nashville, TN. Relocation assistance provided. (This is not a remote position) Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in managing engineers whose primary function is designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems in production settings. Experience building scalable, cloud-native distributed systems. Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in leading teams that have delivered successful products on a large-scale. Experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI). Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $107,100.00/yr – $251,600.00/yr. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, and to reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the factors noted.
