About SA-TECH : SA-TECH is a DoD contractor specializing in range operations and maintenance, weapons testing, facilities management, aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M, engineering support, systems integration, electronics and communications maintenance, and cybersecurity. We operate multiple training ranges for the Army, Air Force and Navy and have a 35-year history of supporting DoD programs.

At NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, SA-TECH supports the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE), which covers development, integration, management and support of an integrated program for a continuous, multi-domain Live, Virtual and Constructive training platform across multiple locations. SA-TECH is helping integrate the Navy Combined Tactical Training Range (NCTTR) and SCORE into the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE).

Position : FURY IW Engineering Tech IV at NAS Oceana (Virginia Beach, VA) to assist FURY IW Mission Coordinators with daily FURY IW training operations. This position reports to the FURY IW Senior Mission Coordinator.

Responsibilities

(specific duties include but are not limited to):

Plan, coordinate, script, and execute FURY IW system operations in support of customer requirements.

Coordinate with surface SSES and sub-surface teams to collect performance data, provide remote assistance, and evaluate IW training operations.

Assist IW Mission Coordinators to provide assessment to Fleet stakeholders of unit and group performance during IW training mission execution.

Provide training to contract and military personnel on new systems to support IW training requirements.

Conduct preventative maintenance, maintain equipment inventories and develop work orders as required.

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrade installations to current and future IW range systems.

Perform other duties as assigned by IW Mission Coordinators and IW Technician V.

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements :

May be required to travel to support other Training Range locations worldwide.

May be required to support afloat IW/IO operations, requiring periodic at-sea embarkations on Training Support Vessels (TSVs).

Shift work may be required to meet the needs of a worldwide customer base.

Schedules are based on mission schedule and Fleet requirements.

Education/Experience/Skills

High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline is desired.

At least four (4) years of experience working with Cryptologic Warfare (CRY), Information Warfare (IW), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Information Operations (IO).

Experience with Navy IT secured networks and WIFI connectivity.

Basic knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) operations.

Experience with networks, switches, routers, etc.

Demonstrated understanding of RF operations, including HF/VHF/UHF ES, EA operations, RF systems and waveform propagation fundamentals.

Knowledge of air, surface, and/or sub-surface EW/IW/IO systems and operations.

Current Network+ and/or Security+ certification (preferred).

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Preferred experience includes:

Experience with Navy Cryptologic systems, including SSEE Increment E/F maritime systems and signals analysis tools.

Experience with FURY IW Range system, HF ALE radios, and other remote radio operations.

Experience coordinating with afloat and ashore command staff.

Experience with tactical training ranges and operations.

May be required to qualify Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF).

Current Driver’s License; must be insurable under company policy for driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours and for the duration of employment.

U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance.

All candidates will be required to pass background screening (SSN, Driving Record, and Criminal Background Investigation).
