Electric Drive Module Development & Validation Subject Matter Expert

Overview
The Subject Matter Expert will serve as the expert for Electric Drive Module development & validation methods and practices and will function as a technical leader within their team to mature the state of development & validation activities. This includes staying aware of industry trends, coaching, and development of standard operating procedures and best practices. This individual contributor will support multiple components and programs while leading continuous improvement initiatives. A qualified candidate will have a mix of hands-on testing experience and technical documentation writing experience within a relevant field.
Major Job Elements / Responsibilities
Become the subject matter expert for all Electric Drive Module development & validation methods and practices
Author and publish various technical documents, e.g. standard operating procedures, validation specifications, etc.
Author, review, and comprehend performance and durability requirements for Electric Drive Modules
Provide technical expertise and direction during DFMEA and DRBTR activities
Help align the team with virtual engineering activities
Be aware of relevant industry trends, standards, and regulations
Be aware of field performance and failures for Stellantis Electric Drive Modules and components
Mentor team members on best practices and effective problem solving
Collect, process, and present typical engineering data, e.g. time-series data acquisition from physical testing
Author incident reports via the Stellantis problem tracking system for product issues discovered during DVP&R activities
Comprehend accelerated testing and reliability demonstration, perform related calculations
Write work orders, purchase requests, etc. for outsourced testing and other procurement
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related degree field
8 or more years of relevant professional experience
English fluency, both written and verbal
Demonstrated expert-level technical report writing ability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams or SharePoint
Knowledge of DVP&R, DRBTR, and DFMEA creation & execution
Knowledge of Electric Drive Modules including design, construction, and testing
Knowledge of high voltage and related safe work practices
Be available full-time, on-site at the CTC location in Auburn Hills, MI
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Engineering
10 or more years of relevant professional experience
Previous experience working DVP&R activities for High Voltage Power Electronics, especially High Voltage Power Inverter Modules
Previous experience authoring and managing technical specification documents
Previous Design Release Engineering experience
Previous EOL definition experience
Previous experience working in the automotive industry
Knowledge of typical laboratory test equipment including digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, hi-pot testers, low and high voltage power supplies, coolant conditioning units, electric motor dynamometer, ETAS-based data acquisition systems
Experience with source control methods for documentation
Previous experience in a leadership role
