Eaton’s Residential Wiring Device division is currently seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern. The hourly rate for this position is $22.15 - $27.69 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Responsibilities

Contribute to firmware and software developments for embedded systems/micro-controllers. Support software development using code repositories, code reviews, build servers, and agile methods. Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies globally, with emphasis on embedded and connected systems, and evaluate their potential impact on Eaton business. Support the research and development of business cases in the new product development cycle to understand viability of proposed products in the marketplace. Support the enhancement of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton’s strategic plans. Follow Eaton’s interests on councils and committees tasked with developing codes and standards for emerging technologies in which Eaton is investing. Support and perform technical evaluations of third-party solutions and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or new suppliers. Support product certification activities - UL/CSA. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Actively enrolled or have earned a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution with graduation no later than August 2027. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (no rounding). Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months' work experience completed at the time of application. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. Relocation is not provided for this role; candidate must be located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA.
