Leidos is actively hiring for an Exploitation Specialist/Data Scientist (Senior) to join our team in St. Louis, MO.
Job Summary:
This role involves performing deep data investigations on complex problems using applied statistics, building algorithms, and collaborating with domain experts to communicate complex realities to non-technical audiences.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide data science management and automation support to the customer, considering modernization objectives including modernized database applications and enterprise activities (e.g., GEOINT Workbench Foundation).
Embed GEOINT/Data Science expertise to ensure continuity of Precise Imagery data provision.
Deliver service solutions that modernize current practices by integrating best practices.
Perform data investigations on complex problems, build algorithms, and collaborate with domain experts to communicate findings.
Create data visualizations via dashboards understandable by non-technical audiences.
Coordinate the utilization and sustainment of new database management processes with developers and analysts.
Ensure new workflows integrate seamlessly with modernized database applications and enterprise APIs.
Model and simulate production and change detection data.
Visualize production metrics of in-house data.
Conduct statistical analysis of in-house data.
Convert Visual/Basic MapInfo scripts to Python through scripting and coding.
Implement enterprise database management processes.
Automate repetitive data management tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Typically, 8–12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s or 6–10 years with a Master’s degree.
Demonstrated experience (9 years) with at least three of the following tools/methodologies:
Python, ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcPro, QGIS, PostgreSQL, Postgis, PgAdmin, APIs, applied statistics, algorithms.
Familiarity with MapInfo and MapBasic.
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with workflow management systems like Flowable.
