The IT Manager oversees all aspects of the organization’s information technology infrastructure, ensuring systems, networks, and applications operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage networks, servers, operating systems, and other IT infrastructure to ensure seamless functionality. Supervise IT staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects within established timelines and budgets. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices, including security, disaster recovery, and data governance. Ensure the security and integrity of data, networks, and systems by conducting risk assessments, implementing security protocols, and managing disaster recovery plans. Oversee end-user technical support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and minimize downtime. Analyze, develop, and manage the IT budget while ensuring cost-effectiveness and proper justification of IT initiatives. Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships, including contract negotiation and alignment with organizational needs. Research and recommend new technologies, oversee upgrades, and ensure IT solutions support strategic objectives. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, operating systems, hardware, software, cybersecurity, and modern technologies (cloud computing, virtualization, etc.). Proven ability to manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, and stakeholder communication. Leadership skills to guide and motivate IT teams while fostering a positive, collaborative environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to analyze complex IT issues. Ability to align IT strategies with overall business goals and anticipate future technology needs. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in IT management, including staff supervision and department leadership. Technical Experience:
Proficiency with Office 365, Windows 10/11, laptop imaging, Windows servers (physical & virtual), VMware or other virtualization tools, backup software, network monitoring, spam filtering, switches, APC UPS, firewalls with VPN and SD-WAN, antivirus management, VOIP systems, and network/server storage systems. Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL are a plus but not required.
