Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Systems Test – System Test SME to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This position, based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a vital role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital component of the Missile Defense System. It provides a crucial operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. Essential Functions

Ground test types include: Pairwise tests, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Test (GTI), Distributed Ground Test (GTD), Cyber Tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Pre-flight test HWIL efforts Flight tests are performed with predetermined sensors and shooters International events consist of various ground and flight tests Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 4 years of relevant work experience. Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs Experience in integration and testing within the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Systems Engineering Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF) Self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with government clients as well as internal and external personnel What We Can Offer You
