Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access to innovation. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers. In this role you will influence water chemistry and treatment for our global fleet of data centers, coordinating with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance. This includes on-site and large campus water systems. You will work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document water treatment features using prescriptive and performance-based design approaches. As an Owner, you will ensure the water treatment features protect people and keep customer data safe and uninterrupted over the life of the building. You will contribute your expertise to continually improve water system design standards.
Responsibilities
Perform and oversee project-related work, including water supply analysis and design for buildings.
Coordinate with utilities and internal water teams to establish basic site infrastructure requirements.
Coordinate water treatment system space requirements, supporting utilities, and equipment locations; provide detailed construction specifications.
Prepare detailed designs for water treatment and sustainability systems and ensure they meet code requirements described in design standards.
Coordinate with all design disciplines to ensure compliance with standards; may perform work personally or oversee others’ work.
Ensure contractors have information needed to build to standards and operations teams can operate and maintain systems.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including design engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, service providers, and local officials; work as part of a global team.
Travel up to 25% as required.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities (data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year to $212,800/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of the total package.
