Overview

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining batch processing systems, focusing on scheduling, monitoring, and managing the execution of batch jobs. This role ensures efficient and reliable batch workload automation. The right candidate will be proactive and detail-oriented and will maintain the Enterprise Batch Application, with a passion for automation and a strong troubleshooting mindset.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement batch job schedules with project and operations teams.

Manage batch job dependencies, triggers, calendars, and execution windows to meet SLAs.

Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD or migration-related incidents in a timely manner.

Provide on-call support to Operations Teams for critical batch failures and incidents.

Define and schedule batch jobs, including execution times, priorities, and dependencies.

Monitor job execution status, track progress, and identify errors or delays.

Investigate and resolve issues related to job scheduling, execution, and system performance.

Analyze and optimize batch job schedules for efficient resource utilization and timely completion.

Maintain the batch scheduling system, including software updates, security patches, and configurations.

Collaborate with other teams to understand business requirements and ensure smooth integration of batch processes.

Proficiency in using batch scheduling tools and technologies (e.g., IBM Tivoli Work Scheduler, Control-M, ActiveBatch).

Understand Linux, Windows, and other relevant operating systems.

Write scripts and automate tasks for scheduling and monitoring.

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years managing the Batch Scheduling Tool - Patching, Configuration; strong knowledge on application upgrades and installations.

Minimum 2-3 years direct, hands-on experience with Redwood Run My Jobs - Day-to-Day Administration, Configuration, Troubleshooting.

Ability to work with Project and Operation Teams to design, configure and implement batch job schedules.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues.

Compensation Estimated Min Rate : $43.40

Estimated Max Rate : $65.00
